At the 2025 World Pork Expo in Des Moines, a delegation from Polar Pork Farms in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, highlighted the growing collaboration between Canadian producers and their American customers to safeguard herd health. Florian Possberg, a Partner at Polar Pork, shared that U.S. buyers are increasingly requesting Canadian pigs be vaccinated against diseases common in the U.S.—even if those diseases aren’t present in Canada.
